Tuesday, October 28th, 2008SUCCESS AT AWARDS
A huge congratulations to Mandy Coates, who picked up the Blackhorse Business Award at this years Pride of Whitby Awards. Mandy was short-listed alongside The Station Inn, and Dave Ellis. Most of the team along with a few clients attended the evening at The Spa Pavilion, and witnessed Mandy and Town and Country Care pick up the award. You may have seen the write up in the Whitby Gazette, and once again Mandy would like to thank all of her staff for their continued hard work, and her husband Paul Coates for all his help and support. The night raised an outstanding £3865, which was double the amount from the previous year, with help from a raffle and an auction, the whole night was a huge success. Finally we would like to say a big well done to Mandy for this fantastic achievement and we hope she continues to provide the care she is renown for. To see a video of the night and details of other award winners, visit the Whitby Gazette website.

TRAINING SUCCESS
On July 31st, our carers experienced a superb lesson and demonstration, on the correct way to use and operate a hoist. Our carers showed good knowledge and initiative throughout the training, and picked up some useful tips along the way. All of the training that our carers go through ensures that our clients will always receive the highest quality care possible.
CONGRATULATIONS
As many of you will be aware, our Assistant Team Leader, Sarah Beeforth, recently became Mrs. Sarah Lonsdale. The day was a huge success, and we would like to thank everyone for their support and understanding leading up to the wedding. Our congratulations Sarah and her husband James.

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008Hairdressing Success
The new hairdressing service has proved to be a huge success amongst our clients, it has resulted in more interest in this service with the list of clients expanding every day. If you would like to book an appointment, remember to ring the office on 01947 606187.
New Staff
We are delighted to inform you that we have just taken on board two new members of staff. Maria Treen, Home Care Assistant, who will be operating on the RED team. And we also now have a new Office Manager, Helen Beeforth, who will be operating and maintaining the office so our clients are able to receive a professional and well run service they are accustomed to. So may we wish them both well in their new jobs. Don’t worry, Nina hasn’t left us, she is now Personnel & Marketing Manager.
Team Splitting
As you may be aware, we have now split into two teams, the RED team and the GREEN team. This is due to the constant demand of our caring service, with the rotas expanding every week. So each carer and each client will be allocated to either team, with the odd exception. Angela Treen is team leader of the RED team, co-ordinating the staff within the team, and Heather Estill is team leader of the GREEN team.
Expanding
As well as our list of carers and clients expanding, so has the office. We now have a manager’s office where interviews, meetings and other private conferences may take place. With this extra space we are able to improve the office systems, making it a more efficient workplace, and therefore making the company as a whole operating much more smoothly.
