Gary Marsay - Office Administrator

"In 2007 I finished my GCSEs at Whitby Community College, unlike many other people my age, I already knew what I wanted to do in regard to a career. So I left school in June 2007,
and started searching for somewhere to where I could start my career in ICT. After many months of searching, I couldn’t seem to find the right place to start my career, that was
when I received a phone call from Town and Country Care Services in December. It was perfect for me, they required an apprentice in the office, and being in my local area, with
training provided, this seemed to be a great opportunity that I couldn't turn down. On December 10th 2007, I was told I was successful and would be the new administration assistant
for the Company. Since then I finished my 6 month probation, and moved onto being the office administrator, answering phone calls, ensuring all staff have the relevant paper work,
and making sure the office is running as it should be. Throughout my training, and from invaluable tuition from Mandy and the team, I now have a greater knowledge of the job role as
well as the care industry. Since joining the company I have helped design the new company logo, and received many good reviews, as well as updating and re-designing the website.
I have also completed my NVQ level 2 in ICT, NVQ level 2 in Business and Administration and my NVQ level 2 in accountancy, which has helped improve my knowlege of my job role, and has given me skills that improve the overall efiiciency of the office.
I now process invoices, prepare wages, and help keep track of finances, all thanks to the training that Mandy has allowed me to complete.
Without Mandy and the team I wouldn't have the great career path in life that I have now, and I am very grateful".
